What is the ui-ux-pro-max skill?

ui-ux-pro-max is an open-source skill from nextlevelbuilder. Its SKILL.md drives a local Python search script over bundled data: 79 searchable styles, 192 palette and reasoning profiles, 74 font pairings, 119 UX guidelines and 22 stack guides. Your agent generates a design system first, then builds against it.

ui-ux-pro-max is a skill for UI and UX work on web, mobile and desktop. The skill folder holds a SKILL.md, a data folder, a references folder and a Python script called search.py. The script runs BM25 search over the bundled data, uses only the Python standard library and makes no network calls, so the lookup is local.

The skill's description lists what the data holds: 79 searchable styles, of which 50 are active, 192 product palettes and reasoning profiles, 74 font pairings, 119 UX guidelines, 105 icons, 17 GSAP presets, 25 chart types and 22 technology stacks.

What changes in your agent's output

  • For a new page or project, the agent runs a design-system query first. It returns a pattern, style, colors, typography, effects and anti-patterns to avoid.
  • The agent can save that result as design-system/<project>/MASTER.md, with page-level override files in a pages folder, so later sessions reuse the same decisions.
  • Targeted problems get a targeted search by domain, such as ux, color, typography, chart, icons or gsap.
  • Stack questions get a stack search. SKILL.md says never to assume a stack, so the agent checks package.json, pubspec.yaml or similar files first.
  • An empty result is not covered up. The skill tells the agent to retry once, then say the answer came from built-in defaults.

The priority order

SKILL.md ranks ten categories so the agent knows what to settle first: accessibility and touch and interaction rank critical, then performance, style selection, layout and responsive, typography and color, animation, forms and feedback, navigation and charts. Full rule text sits in a references file that the agent reads on demand.

Who the ui-ux-pro-max skill is for

Best for

  • New products where you want a stated style, palette and font pairing chosen from data before any code.
  • Teams that want a saved MASTER.md to keep pages consistent across sessions.
  • Mobile and desktop work, since the stack list includes SwiftUI, Flutter, React Native, Jetpack Compose and WPF alongside web frameworks.

Not for

  • Backend logic, API or database design, infrastructure and non-visual scripts. SKILL.md says to skip it for these.
  • Someone who wants a strong single point of view. The skill returns matches from a database. For an opinionated anti-template rulebook, see design-taste-frontend.
  • Reviewing finished code against a fixed checklist. web-design-guidelines is built for that.
