The short answer

Pick Bricks AI when you already own a Bricks licence and want an agent such as Claude Code or Codex to build and edit pages through MCP, at no extra cost from Bricks. Pick UiChemy when you want to prompt inside the page editor, work across Elementor, Gutenberg and Bricks, or start from a Figma file. They also work together, since Composer runs inside Bricks.

Pick Bricks AI if your sites already run on Bricks, you're comfortable setting up an MCP client, and you want an agent to work with your global classes, variables and templates. It costs nothing extra on any Bricks plan, but Bricks still labels it experimental. Pick UiChemy if you want AI inside the editor, need the same tool on Elementor and Gutenberg sites, or start from Figma. Many Bricks users can run both.

Where UiChemy fits

You don't have to choose one. UiChemy Composer runs inside Bricks and renders its pages natively there, so a Bricks site can use Composer for prompt-and-edit page work while Bricks AI handles design system and template chores from your AI client. If the design starts in Figma, UiChemy Figma to WordPress Classic Mode converts it into Bricks, with global styles carried over and headers and footers exported as theme builder templates. Bricks support in AI Express Mode, AI to WordPress and AI Website Creator is listed as coming next.

Frequently asked questions

UiChemy vs Bricks AI: which is better?

Neither wins everywhere. Bricks AI is the better fit when you already own Bricks, use an MCP client like Claude Code or Codex, and want the agent to work with your design system. UiChemy is the better fit when you want AI inside the editor, work across three builders, or start from Figma. On a Bricks site you can use both.

Does Bricks Builder have built-in AI?

Yes. Bricks 2.4 added AI Abilities, set up under Bricks > AI. You connect an outside AI client through MCP, and it can create pages, edit content and manage the design system. Bricks's docs describe this client connection, not a chat panel inside the builder.

Is Bricks AI free?

Bricks says every plan includes the full feature set, and AI Abilities are part of Bricks 2.4. Plans start at $79 a year for one site. Bricks doesn't sell AI usage, so whatever your AI client costs is separate.

Does Bricks AI need an API key?

Bricks connects your client with a WordPress application password and an MCP config it generates for you. The model itself runs in your AI client, so any model account belongs to that client, not to Bricks.

Can I use UiChemy with Bricks?

Yes. UiChemy Composer runs in Bricks today and renders natively there. UiChemy Figma to WordPress Classic Mode also converts Figma designs into Bricks.

Can Bricks AI import a Figma design?

Bricks's own pages don't list a Figma import. Its agents convert HTML and CSS into Bricks content. For Figma, UiChemy Classic Mode converts designs into Bricks.

Is Bricks AI safe to use on a live site?

Bricks labels AI Abilities experimental and advises testing on a local or staging site first. Page and template writes create Bricks revisions where supported, but global data such as classes and variables isn't covered by post revisions.
