Quick answer
There's no single winner, because these tools solve different jobs. Pick UiChemy if you want AI-built pages as editable Elementor, Gutenberg or Bricks content on hosting you already control. Pick ZipWP or 10Web if you'd rather the AI build and host the site for you. Pick Elementor AI, Divi AI or Bricks AI if you're already committed to that builder. Framer builds good sites too, but the result isn't WordPress.

Why people look for a WordPress AI builder alternative
- Hosting decides how easy it is to leave. 10Web says its AI-built sites won't work correctly outside its hosting. ZipWP documents moving a site with an ordinary migration plugin. UiChemy, Elementor AI, Divi AI and Bricks AI all run on whatever WordPress host you already pay for.
- Check which builder the output lands in, because that's what your team edits for years. ZipWP produces Astra plus Spectra blocks. 10Web limits its AI to 10Web Builder. Divi AI and Bricks AI stay inside their own builders. UiChemy Composer renders in Elementor, Gutenberg and Bricks.
- AI billing comes in three shapes. Elementor and Framer sell credits, and an Elementor AI action can cost up to 40 of them. Divi AI offers unlimited generation under fair use, then bills Agent requests at token cost plus markup. UiChemy and Bricks AI let you bring your own model, so the AI bill goes to your provider.
- Compare total cost over three years, not the first invoice. ZipWP Starter renews at $149 a year after a $99 first year. Bricks sells a $599 lifetime license, and UiChemy Composer lists lifetime plans from $89 one-time. Divi AI has no lifetime option.
- Agencies should look at site counts and branding. Divi AI covers unlimited sites and your whole team. ZipWP Business offers a white-label domain. 10Web agency tiers add a branded dashboard and Stripe or PayPal billing. UiChemy Composer Unlimited covers unlimited sites, and staging sites don't count toward the limit.
The 7 alternatives, ranked

UiChemy
Best for keeping your own host and builderUiChemy puts AI into the WordPress site you already run instead of moving you to a new platform. Its Composer plugin writes real HTML, CSS and JS that renders natively in Elementor, Gutenberg or Bricks, and the output stays on your hosting.
- Composer runs in Elementor, Gutenberg and Bricks today, with Divi listed as coming
- Bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic or Google, or connect your own CLI agent
- Other routes in: Figma files, client briefs, or Lovable, Bolt and v0 builds via AI to WordPress
- If a Composer license lapses, the plugin and the site keep working; only updates and support pause
ZipWP
Best for a new site, hosting and domain in one accountZipWP turns a short business description into a full WordPress site and hosts it. It suits someone starting from zero who wants the domain and mailbox handled too.
- Generated sites use the Astra theme with Spectra blocks in the native block editor
- Yearly plans include hosted live sites, a free first-year domain and business email
- Generating a whole site doesn't consume AI credits, per its docs
- Sites can move to another host with a standard migration plugin
10Web
Best for managed hosting with AI cloning built in10Web is a hosted WordPress platform with an AI builder on top. You prompt it, paste a URL to recreate, or bring a Figma file, and it runs the site on its own hosting.
- Builds from a one-line prompt or recreates a page from a URL
- A Figma agent is listed on its plans
- Daily backups, staging and free SSL on all plans, plus SSH, SFTP and MySQL access
- Agency tiers add a branded dashboard and builder, with client billing via Stripe or PayPal

Elementor AI
Best for teams already on ElementorElementor AI generates layouts, copy, images and code as native Elementor content. Its newer assistant, Angie, also has a free plan and works on WordPress sites that don't use Elementor.
- Angie builds full pages, design systems, forms and loops; forms and loops need Elementor Pro
- Site Planner drafts a sitemap and wireframe from a brief
- An MCP server connects Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, and generations land as drafts
- One plans pool monthly credits across AI, image optimization, accessibility and more
Divi AI

- Generates and edits images, including extend and upscale
- Quick Sites builds a full Divi site and can set up WooCommerce
- AI Agent on Divi 5 turns a screenshot or mockup into a layout
Bricks AI
Best for developers who already run their own AI agentBricks AI isn't a chat box in the builder. Bricks 2.4 exposes abilities that an outside AI client such as Claude, Codex or Copilot calls to edit your Bricks site.
- Agents can create pages, edit content and manage global classes, variables and palettes
- Converts HTML and CSS into editable Bricks content, up to 2 MiB combined
- Each ability can be switched on or off per site, and calls run as a WordPress user
- Every Bricks plan includes the full feature set; local and staging sites don't count against the license

Framer
Best if you don't need WordPressFramer is a hosted design tool with an AI agent, CMS and hosting built in. It's a fine pick for a marketing site where WordPress isn't a requirement.
- The agent creates pages, sections, copy and visuals, and can fill CMS collections

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI website builder for WordPress?
It depends on where you want the site to live. If you keep your own host and edit in Elementor, Gutenberg or Bricks, UiChemy adds AI on top of that setup. If you want the AI to build and host everything, ZipWP and 10Web do that. For a closer look at the hosted pair, see UiChemy vs ZipWP and UiChemy vs 10Web.
Which AI WordPress builder is free?
Several have a free tier with limits. UiChemy Composer is free for 1 live site, though AI Chat needs a paid plan. ZipWP gives 2 site generations free. Elementor's Angie has a free plan with daily-renewing credits. 10Web offers a 7-day trial rather than a free plan, and Bricks has no free download.
Which one lets me keep my own hosting?
UiChemy, Elementor AI, Divi AI and Bricks AI are plugins or themes that run on any WordPress host. ZipWP hosts by default but sells a Hobby plan for your own hosting and documents migrating out. 10Web says its AI-built sites are supported only on its own hosting.
Which AI builder works with Elementor?
Elementor AI is the obvious fit, and UiChemy Composer also writes native Elementor content. 10Web pre-installs Elementor, but its AI tools only edit 10Web Builder pages. Compare the two Elementor routes in UiChemy vs Elementor AI.
Can I use my own AI key or model?
Yes with UiChemy, which takes OpenAI, Anthropic or Google keys or your own CLI agent, and with Bricks AI, which is driven from a client like Claude or Codex. Divi AI's Agent offers 400+ models but bills usage through Elegant Themes. For the Bricks route, see UiChemy vs Bricks AI.
Is there an AI WordPress builder with a one-time price?
Bricks lists a $599 lifetime license, ZipWP lists a $99 one-time Hobby plan, and UiChemy Composer lists lifetime plans from $89 one-time at early-bird pricing. Divi AI is monthly or yearly only. See UiChemy vs Divi AI for how Divi's subscription compares.
Is Framer a WordPress website builder?
No. Framer hosts sites on its own platform with its own CMS. It does let you download site files as HTML, CSS and JS, and UiChemy's AI to WordPress lists Framer as a source it can migrate into WordPress. Details are in UiChemy vs Framer.
Do these builders lock my site to their service?
Most don't. Plugin-based tools leave your content on your host, and Bricks says you can keep editing your sites after cancelling. UiChemy Composer keeps working if its license lapses. The clear exception is 10Web, whose help center says AI-recreated sites won't function correctly outside its hosting.
