What is the SwiftUI Expert skill?

SwiftUI Expert Skill is an open-source skill from AvdLee/SwiftUI-Agent-Skill. It routes an AI coding agent to about 30 reference files on SwiftUI topics, enforces a correctness checklist for state, identity, animation and availability, and offers workflows for review, improvement, new features and Instruments trace analysis.

It is an open-source skill that helps an AI coding agent write, review and improve SwiftUI. Its SKILL.md contains a Topic Router that sends the agent to about 30 reference files, so only the relevant guidance is loaded for a given task.

What changes in your agent's output

  • State follows the checklist: @State properties are private.
  • ForEach uses stable identity, and @Entry values have stable defaults.
  • displayScale is read from the environment, and animations use .animation(_:value:) with a value.
  • Newer APIs are gated with #available.
  • Liquid Glass is applied only when you ask for it.

Workflows it includes

  • Reviewing existing SwiftUI code.
  • Improving existing code.
  • Building a new feature.
  • Recording an Instruments trace.
  • Improving code from the findings of a trace.

It also covers iPhone Duo and foldable layouts, and it does not enforce a particular app architecture.

Who the skill is for

Best for

  • iOS and macOS developers whose agent writes outdated or fragile SwiftUI.
  • Teams that want review feedback tied to a written checklist.
  • Developers chasing performance who want an agent to work from Instruments traces.
