Lovable to Elementor

Download your Lovable project as a ZIP, connect UiChemy to your AI client over MCP, and convert each page into native, editable Elementor content on your own WordPress host.

The short answer

To move a Lovable site into Elementor, download the project ZIP from Lovable, install the UiChemy plugin, connect the UiChemy MCP to your AI client, attach the ZIP and ask it to convert the project. Pages land as native Elementor elements. UiChemy documents no one-click import button.

What you need

  • A finished Lovable project, with every page approved and final copy and images in place.
  • Edit access to the project. Download code is a paid Lovable feature, and Git sync to GitHub is on every plan.
  • A WordPress site you control, with admin access and Elementor active.
  • The UiChemy plugin on that site, with the Connection Link pasted once. UiChemy says it is free to start.
  • Claude with the UiChemy MCP, or a WordPress MCP you already run: Novamira, WPVibe or Elementor Angie.
  • UiChemy Pro for complete site conversions, since Pro adds the full Composer, Theme Builder and MCP push.

Step by step

  1. Finish the build in Lovable

Check every page in the preview and fix copy, images and section order there first. Changing a headline in Lovable is one chat message. After conversion it costs a trip into the Elementor editor. This optional prompt keeps the structure plain.

Rebuild this as a multi-page marketing site with real routes: Home, About, Services, Pricing, Contact. Every page is a stack of full-width sections with exactly one h1. Replace placeholder text with final copy and write alt text for every image. Do not add login, a database or payments.
  2. Download the code

In Lovable use Download codebase in Project settings, Git, or open the Code editor and click Download codebase at the bottom of the file tree. Lovable lists this on paid plans. Git sync to GitHub is on every plan if you prefer a repository.

  3. Install the UiChemy plugin

Add the plugin to your WordPress site and paste the Connection Link once. Use a staging site or a fresh install for the first run.

  4. Connect the UiChemy MCP to Claude

Add the UiChemy MCP to Claude once, or use a WordPress MCP you already run: Novamira, WPVibe or Elementor Angie. UiChemy says the connection is remembered for every conversion after that.

  5. Convert to WordPress

Attach the Lovable ZIP in Claude and ask it to convert the project to WordPress. Choose Elementor as your builder. Each page arrives as native, editable content.

Convert the attached Lovable project to WordPress with the UiChemy MCP, using Elementor. Create one WordPress page per route, keep the copy exactly as written, and list anything you could not convert.
  6. Edit in UiChemy Composer

Restyle, rewrite and rearrange any section visually, by prompt or in code. A role manager controls what each WordPress role can change, which suits client hand-over.

  7. Check each page against the Lovable preview

Match the page count, copy, images with alt text, links and buttons, at desktop, tablet and phone widths. Click a heading, a button and an image in Elementor. Each should be an editable element, not an embedded block of code.

  8. Set SEO and publish

Write the title, meta description and permalink in your SEO plugin, then publish. Add redirects if the old Lovable URL was ever shared or indexed.

What carries over and what does not

What you get

  • A WordPress site on your own hosting, with each Lovable page as a WordPress page built from native Elementor elements.
  • Text, images, links and layout you can edit by clicking, with no code needed.
  • Later changes by prompt or in code through UiChemy Composer.
  • WordPress features to grow into, such as a blog, an SEO plugin, forms and WooCommerce.

What does not carry over

  • There is no documented one-click Import from Lovable button. The documented route is the ZIP, Claude and the UiChemy MCP. UiChemy also lists a clone route from a live URL.
  • UiChemy's Lovable page covers pages and sections. Logins, databases, payments and server functions are not documented as converted, so rebuild them in WordPress or keep that app running in Lovable.
  • Lovable's Cloud backend and your Lovable credits stay with Lovable. Only the pages move.
  • UiChemy publishes no fidelity figure for Lovable conversions, so judge each page against the preview.
  • Elementor and Gutenberg are live. Bricks is marked coming soon.
  • The documented flow needs Claude, or one of the named WordPress MCPs. Without an MCP connection it does not apply.
  • Animations and scroll effects need a manual check. Recreate any that did not carry over.

Troubleshooting

Download codebase is missing or greyed out

It needs edit access to the project and a paid Lovable plan. Git sync to GitHub is on every plan and gets the code out, but UiChemy documents the ZIP, so test the repository route on one page first.

Claude does not offer the UiChemy tools

Check that the UiChemy MCP is added to Claude and that the Connection Link is pasted in the plugin on your WordPress site. Both are one-time steps.

A page is missing or duplicated

Compare your Lovable routes with the WordPress pages. Ask Claude to list every route it converted and anything it skipped, then convert the missing page again.

A form, login or payment does not work

These are not documented as converted. Rebuild the form in WordPress and connect where submissions should go, or link out to the app that still runs in Lovable.

Copy differs from what you approved

Ask Claude to keep copy exactly as written, then compare headings, button labels and legal text page by page. Fix leftovers directly in Elementor.

An animation did not carry over

Recreate it in Composer or Elementor, or drop it. Test the page on phone width before publishing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import a Lovable project straight into Elementor?

UiChemy documents a ZIP route, not a direct import button. Download the Lovable codebase, connect the UiChemy MCP to Claude, attach the ZIP and ask Claude to convert it to WordPress. Choose Elementor as the builder and each page arrives as native, editable elements.

Do I need a paid Lovable plan to get the code?

Lovable lists Download code on paid plans. Git sync to GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket is on every plan, so a repository is the alternative. Lovable's pricing FAQ says you own your code. Check your own account, because plan rules can change.

What happens to my Lovable login and database?

UiChemy's Lovable page documents pages and sections. It does not document converting sign-in, stored data or server functions, so treat them as out of scope. Rebuild what you need in WordPress, or keep the app running in Lovable and link to it from your site.

Will the Elementor pages match my Lovable design?

UiChemy gives no percentage for Lovable conversions. Each page arrives as native elements you can compare with the Lovable preview section by section. Check page count, copy, images, links and the phone layout, then fix any gap in Elementor or Composer.

Can my client edit the site without me?

Yes, in WordPress. Text, images and links are editable elements, and UiChemy lists a role manager that controls what each user role can change. That is the main reason to move a Lovable build into WordPress instead of leaving it as code.

Does this work with Gutenberg or Bricks?

UiChemy's Lovable page lists Elementor and Gutenberg as live, with Bricks marked coming soon. This page follows the Elementor route. If you prefer the block editor, choose Gutenberg as the builder when you ask Claude to convert, then check each page in the editor. Not on Lovable yet? Bolt alternatives compares the other AI builders.

Is converting a Lovable site to WordPress free?

UiChemy says you can start free by installing the plugin and trying it at no cost. Pro adds the full Composer, Theme Builder and MCP push for complete site conversions. Check the current plans on uichemy.com before you convert a whole site, so the plan matches the job.

How is this different from Figma to Elementor?

Figma to Elementor reads a Figma file. This flow reads a Lovable project's exported code. If you have a Figma design, use Figma to WordPress. If your site came out of Lovable, Bolt, v0, Claude or Cursor, start from AI to WordPress. If you are still choosing a builder, see Bolt alternatives or Figma Make vs Lovable.
