Live Import: Add Sites & Import Settings

You can easily preview your template using the Live Import feature of UiChemy. To use the Live Import feature you have to connect your WordPress site with UiChemy using a token key and you can import your design in different formats.

To use the Live Import feature you have to install the UiChemy plugin on your WordPress website and generate a security token.

Select Site

From here you can add your site where you want to import the templates. You can add multiple sites, you can also edit and delete your sites.

Add Site

To add a new site in UiChemy follow the steps – 

  1. Open the UiChemy plugin and select the top level frame of your layout.  
  2. Then select either the Optimize & Covert or Express Convert option and click the Optimize & Covert or Express Convert button as per your selection.
  3. Click on the Convert button, on the next screen.
  4. Then on the next slide, click on the Live Import button.
  5. In the Select Site dropdown, click on the + Add Site button.
  6. Then you’ll see a Live Import popup here, you have to add the Site URL and Security Token from the WordPress UiChemy plugin.
  7. Once you’ve added the URL and Token, click on the Connect button, if everything is correct, you’ll see a success message otherwise, you’ll see an error message if anything is wrong.
  8. Then you’ll see your website URL is selected in the Select Site dropdown.

Note: Similarly you can add multiple sites and while importing you have to select the appropriate site from the Select Site dropdown.

Edit Site

If you want to change your site details to update the security token or for whatever reason you can do that easily.

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 from the above-mentioned process, to get to the Live Import screen.
  2. Then in the Select Site dropdown, click on the Edit button beside your desired website URL.
  3. Then the Live Import popup will open, where you can easily change the Site URL and security Token.
  4. After that click on the Connect button, if everything is correct, you’ll see a success message otherwise, you’ll see an error message if anything is wrong.
  5. Once done you’ll see the dot beside the website URL turn to green. 

Delete Site

If you want to delete a site from UiChemy you can do that very easily.

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 from the above-mentioned process (Add Site), to get to the Live Import screen.
  2. Then in the Select Site dropdown, click on the Delete button beside your desired website URL and your site will be deleted.

Import Settings

From here, you can set the import settings on how you want to import the design to your site. 

New

With this option, you can import your design as a new template or page in Wordpress.

Page

To import your design as a new page follow the steps – 

  1. From the Live Import screen, select the appropriate site from the Select Site dropdown.
  2. After that click on the dropdown under the Import Settings and select New from the Select Method section.
  3. Then from the Export To dropdown, select Page

Now you’ll see a green tick mark beside your design in the dropdown i.e. you are all set to import the design.

When you import the design, this will import the design as a new page in WordPress. 

Elementor Template

To import your design as a new Elementor template follow the steps – 

  1. From the Live Import screen, select the appropriate site from the Select Site dropdown.
  2. After that click on the dropdown under the Import Settings and select New from the Select Method section.
  3. From the Export To dropdown, select Elementor Template.
  4. Then you’ll see another dropdown, from here you have to select the template type.

Note: Except Standard Template, all other templates will be available only if you have Elementor Pro installed on your website. 

Now you’ll see a green tick mark beside your design in the dropdown i.e. you are all set to import the design.

When you import the design, this will import the design as a new Elementor template. 

Nexter Template

To import your design as a new Nexter template, you need to have the Nexter Extension plugin installed and then follow the steps – 

  1. From the Live Import screen, select the appropriate site from the Select Site dropdown.
  2. After that click on the dropdown under the Import Settings and select New from the Select Method section.
  3. From the Export To dropdown, select Nexter Template.
  4. Then you’ll see another dropdown, from here you have to select the template type.

Now you’ll see a green tick mark beside your design in the dropdown i.e. you are all set to import the design.

When you import the design, this will import the design as a new Nexter template.

Existing

With this option, you can replace or update an existing template or page with your design.

Replace

To replace an existing page or template with your design follow the steps – 

  1. From the Live Import screen, select the appropriate site from the Select Site dropdown.
  2. After that click on the dropdown under the Import Settings and select Existing from the Select Method section.
  3. Then from the Export To dropdown, select the appropriate option (Page, Elementor Template or Nexter Template). 
  4. After that select Replace from the Select Method section.
  5. Finally from the Replace dropdown, you have to select the appropriate page or template you want to replace.

Note: Based on your selection (Page, Elementor Template or Nexter Template) in the Replace dropdown, you’ll only see the existing pages or templates on your website.

Now you’ll see a green tick mark beside your design in the dropdown i.e. you are all set to import the design.

When you import the design, based on your selection this will replace the existing page or template on your website.

Add-On

To add your design to an existing page or template follow the steps – 

  1. From the Live Import screen, select the appropriate site from the Select Site dropdown.
  2. After that click on the dropdown under the Import Settings and select Existing from the Select Method section.
  3. Then from the Export To dropdown, select the appropriate option (Page, Elementor Template or Nexter Template). 
  4. After that select Add-On from the Select Method section.
  5. Finally from the Add-On To dropdown, you have to select the appropriate page or template you want to update.

Note: Based on your selection (Page, Elementor Template or Nexter Template) in the Replace dropdown, you’ll only see the existing pages or templates on your website.

Now you’ll see a green tick mark beside your design in the dropdown i.e. you are all set to import the design.

When you import the design, based on your selection this will replace the existing page or template on your website.
